Change is challenging,
but possible

Change can be difficult, seem impossible, and leave a person feeling overwhelmed, powerless, and destined to stay stuck.

I believe that change is achievable, and each person can become the person he/she wants to be in life. The process of change is unique for each person, and it is my goal to empower and encourage each person to identify and harness personal strengths while overcoming problematic thoughts and behaviors.

I would like to help you achieve your change.

Professional Biography

Emily Reel

LPC, ALPS, MAC, SAP

I’m a licensed professional counselor with almost two decades of experience, dedicated to identifying and treating mental health issues that impact my clients, including substance use, anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders. My practice covers a wide range of concerns, and I particularly enjoy working with anxious college students, new parents adjusting to their roles, individuals navigating divorce, and everything in between.

My skills are finely tuned to promote the overall wellness we all strive for. I help clients reduce the impact of stress, sadness, and feelings of powerlessness that can arise from difficult events and life’s stressors. By enhancing my clients' sense of empowerment and taking a realistic, practical view of their challenges, I work alongside them to find workable solutions that align with their goals, lifestyles, ideologies, and recovery journeys. I find great success in assisting clients as they challenge and rebuild beliefs and habits that lead to personal success and fulfillment.

While my specialty is in recovery from addiction, I’m equipped to address a variety of mental health issues. I focus on both the external factors and the inner world of my clients to help create space for the transformation they seek. My goal is to help them overcome barriers and achieve a desired state of emotional health and strength. I truly love helping clients achieve the success they desire in a way that empowers them to move forward independently.

It’s remarkable how effective counseling can ultimately eliminate the need for counseling!
